This piece is a self-portrait and collage of different shapes and elements that I thought best represents my design style. It was made as a custom background for my PS3.

The client wanted the 2008 Dodge Avenger web course to have a "Sin City" look and feel. This graphic was my redesign of an interior page made for a DVD sleeve. I recut the graphics, color corrected and added the lighting and special effects using Photoshop.

This picture's color evokes emotion while the subtle blurring effects give a sense of speed. This graphic was used as a splash screen to one of the course sections. When placing the car in this tunnel shot, I wanted to make sure of a good balance of realism and fictional coloring.

I had a lot of fun creating different effects to give this a "graphic novel" feel. It was nice working with cooler colors and helped give it more of a gothic night feel. You can find this animated in the "interactive" section.

Mazda's curvy and chrome logo was the perfect design element to use in this menu. Unfortunately this design was not used because it violated their logo standards. God forbid anyone ever use their logo as a design element...I did design the approved menu, but did not like it as much as this one.

No I did not design the 3D Penguins or the logos- those are all trademarks of Warner Brothers. But I did design this CD-Rom from concept to completion. The layout and menus were designed in Photoshop and then made interactive in Flash. I provided the animation, graphics, and programming necessary to be a fully interactive CD-Rom with kids games and recipes.

This was my favorite in-house design piece that I did for the MG reel that year. I just love the colors and photo-realistic textures that blend so well together in this design. There is something about mixing synthetic colors with nature that has such an appeal to me.

I'm a big fan of Eastern art and culture, as you will notice in some of my compositions. The following three designs were originally put together as avatars to represent different moods. I wanted to include natural shapes and colors to make these look like real antique paintings.

More Eastern design. Notice the texture helps to create a painted-on wood look. The dragon shape was added as a symbol of strength and wisdom.

This piece was intended to be contrast to the other two. The darkness and bright reds created an unsettling feel that was a little more over powering than I was initially going for. This piece was the inspiration for creating the above self-portrait as you may recognize some of the shapes here.
